Llandudno, Anglesey & Puffin Island
5th - 8th of July
Llandudno is Wales's largest resort, uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes and famed for its magnificent crescent of hotels, broad tree-lined streets, elegant shops and the longest pier in Wales, stretching over 2,000 feet out into the sea.
We begin our tour with a lunch-time stop in Chester, a walled, cathedral city famous for its medieval black and white buildings and historic streets.
Our main excursion is to the Isle of Anglesey. We will begin with a photo stop at the longest name in Wales before continuing to Beaumaris, a captivating town with stunning views over the Menai Straight and Snowdonia, where you will have time to explore. We then enjoy a cruise around Puffin Island. Home to an abundance of wildlife, you may spot grey seals, bottle nose dolphins as well as puffins and other birds.
We will have a half-day in Llangollen, a small town with a wealth of independent shops and cafés, surrounded by hills and set on the river Dee, there is something for everyone before returning to the hotel with time to take a ride up The Great Orme, stroll along the pier, or wander round the many shops, the choice is yours!
